No. Automated scanning catches a large share of real-world issues — in Deque’s published audit dataset, automated testing identified 57.38% of recorded issues, including the violations most often cited in ADA lawsuits (missing alt text, contrast failures, missing labels). That is a share of issue volume, not of WCAG success criteria, and it cannot establish conformance. Manual testing by an accessibility specialist is still required. AllyProof clearly labels which criteria require manual review.
Automated rules target selected WCAG 2.2 A/AA failure patterns, including applicable earlier-version requirements. axe-core and HTML_CodeSniffer supply rule findings; APCA is a separate advisory contrast check. Page states and criteria requiring judgment need manual evaluation.

A qualified evaluator must complete manual testing and conformance decisions before procurement use.

AllyProof tests WCAG 2.2 Level AA failure patterns and provides a proprietary draft mapping to EN 301 549 v3.2.1. That standard is harmonised for the Web Accessibility Directive and is widely used as technical guidance, but the current version is not an EAA-specific harmonised standard. EN 301 549 also contains non-web requirements that an automated URL scan cannot evaluate.
