Does a passing result mean my website is compliant?
No. Automated checks can only evaluate specific observable conditions. Passing means no issue was detected for those checks on the reviewed pages; it is not legal advice or a conclusion about overall compliance.
Why must I confirm that I control the website?
The preview is for website owners, operators and authorised reviewers. Domain verification is required to access full findings and source evidence.
What does the free preview include?
It reviews one representative page and linked legal pages for the selected market. It reveals every action-needed check, or one needs-review finding when nothing conclusive is observed. Complete evidence and the rest of the checks stay behind free account creation and domain verification.
Which markets are supported?
The public tool supports GDPR/ePrivacy-facing checks for Germany and other EU/EEA markets, plus California CCPA/CPRA checks. California is not a nationwide US result and other state privacy laws are not covered yet.
Does the EU result verify all of GDPR?
No. It checks observable website evidence such as privacy-notice access and selected Article 13 disclosures, observed recipients, consent controls, and transport signals. It cannot verify internal records, processor contracts, DPIAs, breach handling, DPO or EU-representative applicability, or processing that is not visible on the public site.
How is this different from the accessibility test?
The accessibility test checks WCAG failure patterns. This separate check reviews consent behaviour, privacy notices, legal disclosures, third-party resources and related observable conditions.
